Complete Plumbing & Heating Installation – Large Detached Property

The Process
1. Design & Coordination
We worked collaboratively with the client, architect, and M&E consultant to produce a complete plumbing and heating layout.
Detailed heat load and flow calculations ensured the boilers, heat pump, and cylinders were correctly sized and balanced for optimal hybrid operation.
2. First Fix Installation
Installed Geberit Mepla multilayer pipework for all hot and cold water, heating, and UFH loops.
Laid UFH pipework across all floors prior to screeding and connected manifolds.
Installed foul and surface water sump systems in the basement with pumps and controls.
3. Second Fix & Commissioning
Installed two gas boilers and an air source heat pump, integrated through a hybrid control system for seamless operation.
Fitted two unvented cylinders and accumulators to maintain pressure consistency.
Installed radiators, UFH manifolds, and five bathrooms with luxury finishes.
Carried out flushing, testing, and final commissioning to guarantee performance and efficiency.
Challenges & Solutions
Hybrid Heating Integration:
Combining dual boilers and an ASHP required precision control logic. We developed a smart system balance to automatically switch between heat sources depending on temperature and demand.
Basement Drainage:
The basement needed dual foul and surface systems with independent sumps and backup alarms for complete reliability.
Pressure Management:
With multiple bathrooms and UFH zones, dual accumulators and balanced manifolds ensured stable, high-pressure delivery throughout the home.
