Plumbing & Hot Water System Installation – London Apartment

Sable Projects designed and installed a fully electric plumbing and heating system using the Fischer Aquafficient boiler, alongside complete new copper pipework and two contemporary bathrooms

This luxury apartment in Kensington required a modern, efficient, and space-saving hot-water solution

Scope of Work

Hot Water System: Supplied and installed a Fischer Aquafficient electric boiler for instant, efficient hot-water delivery to all outlets.

Pipework Installation: Installed new copper pipework throughout using Geberit Mapress press-fit fittings for precision, speed, and long-term durability.

Bathrooms: Completed full plumbing and installation for two bathrooms, including showers, baths, basins, WCs, and concealed services.

Kitchen: Connected new hot and cold water supplies to all kitchen fittings and appliances.

System Commissioning: Completed pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of the electric boiler and entire plumbing network.

The Process

1. Design & Planning

We collaborated with the client and interior designer to create an efficient, discreet installation tailored to a high-end apartment setting.
The Fischer Aquafficient system was selected for its compact size, instant hot-water capability, and suitability for electric-only environments.

2. Installation

Removed all existing pipework and outdated hot-water systems.
Installed new copper pipework using Geberit Mapress fittings for neat, precise, and durable joints.
Mounted and connected the Fischer Aquafficient electric boiler to supply both bathrooms and the kitchen.
Installed two new bathrooms with concealed pipework, wall-hung sanitaryware, and premium brassware.
Connected and tested kitchen water supplies for balanced pressure and consistent temperature.

4. Testing & Handover

All systems were pressure-tested, flushed, and commissioned for optimal performance.
The client received a full handover covering system operation, safety procedures, and routine maintenance guidance

Challenges & Solutions

All-Electric Requirement:

With no gas supply, an efficient electric solution was required.
→ The Fischer Aquafficient provided a low-energy, on-demand hot-water system that eliminated the need for stored cylinders.

Limited Space:

The compact plant area required a carefully planned layout.
→ Mapress fittings allowed fast, reliable joints in tight spaces without compromising service access.

Apartment Environment:

Working within an occupied building required careful coordination and noise management.
→ Installation was phased for minimal disruption to neighbouring residents.
